Why Your Church Should Be Online

One of the most common questions I receive from Pastors is, “Why should my church be online?” I realize a huge gap in training and teaching about Online Church is explaining why Online Church is so important.

What the enemy intends for evil, God will use for good

From pornography and adultery-facilitating sites to the black market and human trafficking – the internet is full of evil. Satan has and is using the internet every day to accomplish evil around the world. Due to this evil, churches have been afraid to get online.

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good…” – Genesis 50:20

What the enemy intends for evil, God will use for good. He can and will take things that were created for evil and turn them around for good. This is the same for the internet – God is calling you to take something the enemy has used to destroy people, marriages and lives; and use it to heal, restore and win people to Jesus.

Betty Ritchie– lives in Texas. Homebound. She’s found her place in our online church family – We call her Maw, she’s our online Grandma and is faithful every week.

Theresa Abernathy – couldn’t make it to church and couldn’t connect with a church family because she worked every weekend. She started attending our church online. She connected with our online family, found her place in ministry as a host – now she attends our main campus on Sundays and volunteers at the front desk every week.

John Poole – is a member of the Air force and has been deployed multiple times overseas. During every deployment, he has watched online and been an active member of our online church. This allowed him to stay connected to his church and continue to grow in his relationship with Jesus.

Joselyn Trantham – was controlled by anxiety and unable to be in crowds.  This meant she couldn’t attend church. She started watching online and fell in love with our church and the online church family.  She felt so connected to them, that she was willing to brave the crowds and come to church so she could meet her online family.  Now, three years later she is an active member of our main campus, coming to church multiple times a week, volunteering as an online host, and overcoming her anxiety and other set-backs.

What the enemy intended for evil, God is using for good.  Online church is not something that only big churches can do.  It’s easy to do, there is little to no cost to get started, and your church can be used by God to minister to people around the world.

That’s why YOUR church should be online!
